TERMS OF SERVICE   1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS Welcome to Adoption-Free-Search, hereafter known as "EMLA." EMLA provides free searches to the Adoption Triad, here after call "FAMILY MEMBERS" EMLA members are subject to abiding by the following Terms of Service. (TOS) EMLA reserves the right to update "TOS" as officers of EMLA feel is necessary from time to time without notice to you, to provide a safe environment. Applicants applying and submitting a registration for membership hereby agree to follow "TOS" as set forth below. Violation of the EMLA "TOS" is subject to termination of membership and possible prosecution as will be decided by the EMLA counsel. 2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE EMLA provides its family members with free location searches for genealogical family member, utilizing those tools made available though the kindness of private, public, charitable and member contributions. EMLA will not charge for any search. This is a nonprofit site meant to provide an alternative to hiring a professional (paid) searcher. EMLA nor any "Family Member" on this site will ask you for any money. We have a strict policy that no member will be charged for information that should rightfully be available to them. Any Family Member which contributes information for the purpose of a completion of a search understands that by and though(through) the transmission of that information, that all information provided to EMLA becomes the property of same, without exclusion. 3. YOUR REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS In consideration of your free use of the Service EMLA provides, you agree to: (a) Provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as outlined in the EMLA registration form. (b) You will maintain and update the information as necessary, to keep it accurate. (c) You agree to provide your contact information should EMLA need to contact you about your search. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, incomplete, made under false pretense. Or if EMLA has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, not current, incomplete or fraudulently submitted; EMLA reserves the right to suspend service to you and applicant/Family Member will be subject to possible prosecution as will be decided by the EMLA legal counsel. 4. MEMBER CONDUCT (a) Harm a minor in any way. No searches are allowed for minors. You must be 18 to use this service. Exception: Medical emergencies that can be verified, EMLA shall assist an adoptive parent where the life of an adopted child depends on the need for the need(delete) for genealogical family information. (b). Post or email another Family Member or EMLA officer anything that is vulgar, libelous harassing, unlawful, abusive, defamatory, harmful, hateful, racially and ethnically motivated, sexual, invasive of another's privacy, or use any other objectionable behaviors and further agree not to stalk, or otherwise harass any "Family Member" or "EMLA" officer. (c). Upload, post, copy, transmit, forward or make available in anyway, the content of any email, or post, found on this Domain. You will not provide to paid searchers or agents for paid searchers any content, links, posts or email from EMLA. Nothing on this Domain may be copied, transmitted, forwarded, posted without the written permission of an officer of the Corporation. (d). Impersonate any person, including a triad member, an EMLA official, or use a name other than you own to gain access to the services of EMLA. Anyone known to use a false name to apply for membership under false grounds, or attempt to use the Domain for other than its intended purpose, be aware EMLA reserves the right to prosecute to the full extent of the law. (e). Upload, post, transmit, or email any non-adoption related material. This includes spam, jokes, chain letters, or any material which is not directly related to adoption issues. (f). Violate any applicable State Law. 5. NO RESALE OF SERVICE You agree not to upload, duplicate, copy, resell or exploit EMLA for any commercial purposes. 6. LINKS EMLA provides and, or third parties may provide, links to other adoption related sites. EMLA has no control over the content, or the availability of these sites. EMLA shall not be responsible or liable directly or indirectly for the content of links or the information found there. 7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES You understand and agree: EMLA makes NO GUARANTEE that we will locate your other family member(s), or that EMLA will meet your requirements. This service is provided "as is" and "as available". The information obtained from EMLA should be checked by you for accuracy.
